New Middle School for Isolated Villages

Categories: Hope for the Rio Dulce Update

Thanks to the generous support of donors, a new Middle School has been built in the village of Arcochoch – a large village in a very isolated location where government services are often not available. The people in the area around Arochoch live in extreme poverty, with little to no access to educational opportunities. Within one week of its founding, over 100 students registered for classes, some in their 20’s.

The village cooperated in the construction of the original school building, using materials available in the surrounding forests – wood for walls and palm leaves for the roof.

This original building has now been replaced by a new, permanent building.

Our team of teachers continues to education over 100 students at the school.
