Water Filters to prevent Illness

Categories: Hope for the Rio Dulce Update

Together with the Rotary Club of Georgetown, Hope for the Rio Dulce has helped to coordinate the distribution of water filters to villages that lack clean sources of water.

These small filters allow a family to filter almost any type of water – from well water to water from the river. The filtered water is drinkable and free of contaminates that may cause illness.

To date, we have distributed filters in over 7 villages. The rotary club is currently developing a project to educate villagers on the importance of hygiene and clean water, as well distribute over 1500 filters.

We’ll post updates when available.
